Toronto is opening 15 outdoor public pools this week and here's the list

Summer is fast approaching, and one sure sign of that is the official opening of outdoor pools across Toronto.

Starting Saturday, June 14, 15 of the city's outdoor public pools will be opening on a partial schedule with set hours. These select pools will also stay open later in the season, all the way until mid-September.

The remaining pools in the city will open one week later, on June 21, on a partial schedule, from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Monday to Friday, and 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Saturdays and Sundays.

By the end of the month, all pools will be operating normally, from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. starting on June 27.

While most of the City-run pools will close for the season on August 31, these 15 pools will stay open until September 21, running on reduced hours starting September 2. The hours are from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m., Monday to Friday, and from noon to 7 p.m., Saturday and Sunday.

Splash pads have already opened for the city and will close on September 14, while wading pools will open for the season on June 27.

Here are the 15 pools that will open early, on Saturday, June 14:
