Here are the 'most valuable brands' in Canada in 2025

As the trade war between the United States and Canada continues, you may be searching for Canadian brands to support.

On Thursday, Brand Finance, a brand valuation consultancy, revealed its annual ranking of Canada's top 100 most valuable brands, a helpful list for all things Canadian-made.

Laurence Newell, managing director of Brand Finance Americas, acknowledged the current political and economic uncertainty affecting these companies.

"This year's results reflect a more cautious outlook for Canadian brands, with total brand value down amid rising political and economic uncertainty," he explained in a statement.

"However, even in a challenging environment, many brands are distinguishing themselves through stronger perceptions and strategic positioning. As risks mount, brand strength remains a key differentiator, helping businesses build trust, drive preference, and maintain long-term brand value."

Topping the ranking is TD, which remains the most valuable brand in the country for the third consecutive year, valued at $23.4 billion.

There are several financial institutions on the list.

RBC follows closely behind TD, valued at $22.4 billion. The report highlights RBC’s acquisition of HSBC Bank Canada, which integrated nearly 800,000 clients and expanded its commercial banking capabilities, resulting in a boost in earnings.

Scotiabank, BMO, and CIBC also made the top 10.

Circle K nabbed the third spot on the ranking, with its brand value up 11 per cent to $17.2 billion. The report says the convenience store climbed two spots from last year, with its growth supported by its continued expansion, particularly across the U.S. and Europe.

Other notable Canadian brands on the list include Tim Hortons in 11th place and telecom giants like Bell and Rogers, in 12th and 13th place, respectively.

Lululemon is the only clothing brand that made the list as the 15th most valuable in the country.

Major grocers like Loblaws, Shoppers Drug Mart, Real Canadian Superstore, and Metro all ranked in the 30s.

Brand Finance also evaluated the strongest brands in Canada in 2025.

Canadian whisky Crown Royal was named the strongest brand in Canada, achieving a score of 90.7 out of 100, an increase of 23 points from last year.

"The brand received perfect 10 scores in key perception metrics, including price acceptance, preference, and reputation," reads the report.

Dollarama follows closely behind in second place with a score of 86.6. The report credits high perception scores across familiarity, likeability, consideration, and recommendation, supported by the brand’s continued store expansion and market presence.

In third place is A&W, with a score of 84.5. Brand Finance attributes its strong position to its "exceptionally high familiarity among Canadian consumers."
