New Netflix series starring Severance actor spotted filming around Toronto

A new Netflix series starring a Severance actor will be filming in and around Toronto over the next few months, so make sure to keep your eyes peeled for any possible sightings.

Best-selling American author Harlan Coben, known for his renowned mystery novels and thrillers that include WinThe Boy from the Woods, Run Away and the Myron Bolitar series, is officially bringing his hit novel, I Will Find You, to the streaming service.

The eight-episode series started production in Toronto on April 21 and will be filming through the summer until August 29, according to the City of Toronto's website.

The show's cast includes Sam Worthington (Avatar, Lift) as David Burroughs, who is serving a life sentence for murdering his son.

However, when he receives word that his son might be alive, David embarks on a truth-finding mission that "leads him out of prison and into a world of deceit and despair," according to Netflix's Tudum

The show also notably stars Britt Lower (Helly from Severance) as Rachel Mills, David's ex-sister-in-law, and Milo Ventimiglia (This Is Us, Gilmore Girls) as Hayden, Rachel’s ex-boyfriend.

Logan Browning (Dear White People, The Perfection) will also play Sarah Greer, a member of the FBI's Fugitive Task Force in Boston, while Erin Richards (The Crown, Gotham) appear as Cheryl Dreason, David's ex-wife. Jonathan Tucker (Westworld, The Virgin Suicides) and Chi McBride (Pushing Daisies, Hawaii Five-0) are also among the cast.

One eagle-eyed X user noticed boxes associated with the production of the show at the University of Toronto Mississauga campus this week, with a poster noting that filming would be taking place on campus this Friday and Saturday.

According to the university's website, filming is scheduled to take place on May 2 and May 3 in Deerfield Hall and on Principal's Road.

Another tweet reposted to a Toronto filming account claims that the series will also be filming at Edwards Gardens in Toronto.

Multiple series adaptations of Coben's novels have already been made, including Missing You, CaughtFool Me Once, Stay Close, The Stranger, Safe, The Innocent and The Woods

Make sure to keep an eye out for production throughout the summer in Toronto — you never know, you might just catch a glimpse of the stars in action.
