Pedro Pascal shares love for Canada after filming Last of Us Season 2 here

We're over halfway through the latest season of The Last of Us on HBO Max, and one of the show's stars, Pedro Pascal, recently shared some behind-the-scenes footage with some love for Canada.

Pascal shared a post on Instagram captioned, "There's no place like #Canada."

Most of the second season was filmed in Vancouver and elsewhere in British Columbia, while the first season was filmed almost entirely in Alberta. Needless to say, the Chilean American actor now has quite a bit of experience in Canada.

Pascal's Instagram post consisted of several behind-the-scenes photos and videos from the various sets of The Last of Us scattered around B.C.

SPOILER ALERT: The last slide is particularly crushing, as the clapperboard reads, "THE LAST OF PEDRO."

Pictures include snippets of shenanigans with other stars like Pascal dancing with Bella Ramsey, who plays Ellie. There's also a photo of Pascal with Canadian legend Catherine O’Hara.

In response to his post, someone offered Pascal a path to becoming a Canadian, asking, "You know you can become a Canadian citizen if you marry me?"

Another user responded, "When he loves my country."

Leading up to the second season filming, Pascal was spotted around the province. At one point in early 2024, he was seen in the streets of Vancouver’s Yaletown neighbourhood specifically.

Cast and crew travelled all over B.C. for the second season's filming. Last month, B.C.’s Britannia Mine Museum shared that one prominent and intense scene was filmed in one of its mill buildings.

Apocalyptic vibes were even brought to areas near Vancouver's downtown core. Some scenes were also filmed on Vancouver Island.

Last month, Variety confirmed that a third season of the show would be coming, but we have yet to learn details about where it will be filmed.
