raptors party toronto

There's a huge free party to relive the Toronto Raptors' championship win next week

The Toronto Raptors might not be playing right now, but that doesn't mean that their fans can't come together for a good time.

On Friday, June 13, the Museum of Toronto will be hosting a block party at Harbourfront Centre, 225 Queens Quay W., running from 6 to 9 p.m.

Highlights include:

  • DJ 4Korners (official Raptors DJ) will be playing a set
  • 3-on-3 basketball tournament hosted by Warren Ward (Raptors 905 broadcaster)
  • Game day food and drinks, including hot dogs, soft serve, and beer

The party coincides with Game 4 of the 2025 NBA Finals and is the same date that the Raptors won the NBA title in 2019.

Though a sixth-year anniversary party might not have the same ring to it as a five- or ten-year anniversary, it still seems to be a fun night regardless.

The party is also meant to showcase the museum's ongoing installation Home Game: Toronto Loves Basketball, which is on display now through Oct. 12.

"Even before the Toronto Raptors and the rallying cry 'We the North,' basketball in Toronto was deeply rooted in the evolving social and cultural conditions of our city and its people. From the Canadian invention of basketball to the early women's game in 1895, to the first professional game played by the Toronto Huskies in 1946, and the recent creation of the Toronto Tempo WNBA team, these milestones chart the development of the sport in our city," the exhibition page reads.

"This exhibition, along with a series of profiles on fellow Torontonians, explores how the relationship between basketball and Toronto is unlike any other in the world."
