This week's weather forecast in Toronto includes an epic temperature swing that'll have the city shivering and sweating within 72 hours.
You've got to love the way Toronto weather keeps you on your toes. From April snowstorms to biblical downpours that flood the entire city, there's always something weird and (occasionally) wonderful in store for the city.
This week, it's coming in the form of an epic temperature swing that'll leave Toronto feeling like it jumped nearly 30 degrees within days, The Weather Network predicts.
While Ontario's summer forecast is promising above-average temperatures for June through August, the month is actually kicking off on the chillier side with a high of 15 degrees Celsius in the afternoon of Sunday, June 1.
Later that evening, temperatures will dip down to a low of 8 degrees, feeling like 7.
From there, though, things start to kick into summer mode, with Monday boasting a daily high of 19, followed by a high of 22 (feeling like 24) on Tuesday. As an added bonus, there's only a maximum 20 per cent chance of precipitation across the first three days of June, so plan your Trinity Bellwoods hangouts accordingly.
It all reaches a particularly steamy pitch on Wednesday, June 4, when the temperature will hit a high of 25 degrees, feeling like 30, in the afternoon, followed by a subtle drop to 21 with a chance of thunderstorm in the evening, breaking what will almost certainly be some seriously sticky conditions.
Beyond that, the forecast largely predicts temperatures in the mid-twenties for the following week, potentially signalling, at long last, the return of consistent summer weather.
According to Ontario's summer forecast, the province's first heat wave of the summer will likely land in and around the Canada Day long weekend, so soak up these last few AC-free weeks, because this summer is shaping up to be one that has you diving for whatever cool you can find.
